It’s been 35 years since the original Beetlejuice hit theaters, and fans have been clamoring for a sequel ever since. Now their prayers are finally being answered. Set for release in September 2024, Beetlejuice 2 promises to be everything fans have been waiting for and more.  

The original Beetlejuice was a cult classic, and it’s easy to see why. The film was directed by Tim Burton, who brought his dark and quirky style to the project. Michael Keaton was perfectly cast as the main character, a mischievous ghost who helps a young couple deal with the supernatural forces haunting their home.  

Beetlejuice 2 will see Keaton return as Beetlejuice alongside Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz. The film also introduces new characters, including Jenna Ortega as Lydia’s daughter, Justin Theroux as a post-mortem cop, and Monica Belluci as Beetlejuice’s wife. Also, Willem Dafoe will appear in this film; it is unknown yet who his character will be.

The main plot is straight forward as Beetlejuice is happy to help, but his tricks soon wear off. He wreaks all kinds of havoc on the dead world and even brings back some of the ghosts from the first movie.

Monica Bellucci: Will play Beetlejuice’s wife. She is a powerful and mysterious woman who should not  be trifled with.
