The pair have been at words with one another after their trial taking place in Virginia back during April 11th, 2022. Since then, both sides have been heated with words thrown back and forth towards one another. More or less, the trial turned into a circus show – captivating the entire world during its lifespan. Both Johnny and Amber met during the filming of “The Rum Diary,” a movie based on the novel by Hunter S. Thompson that was released back during 2009. 

During this time, the pair seemed to fall for one another or so it seemed. Johnny played a journalist that moves to Puerto Rico. In the movie, he becomes obsessed with Chenault, a character portrayed by Amber. 

Previously, Amber was involved with her long-term partner Vanessa Paradis, a French singer, model and actress but both Amber and Vanessa ended their 14-year relationship at some point during 2012. Fast Forward to 2014 when Amber was spotted wearing an engagement ring from Johnny. The couple seemed to gush over one another during their time together. One year later, in 2015 the pair privately got married. 

A controversy came to the attention of everyone after the couple sneaked their dogs, Pistol and boo into Australia. They later recorded an apology video of sorts that came across rather awkwardly to everyone. Amber Heard has since been charged with two counts of illegally importing the dogs into Australia and another count of producing a false document. 

It seems fate was settled for the two as Amber filed for divorce from Johnny during May of 2016. She initially started with a temporary restraining order. Heard said that Johnny was both abusive and even threw a phone at her causing bruising to her sexy body. Many think Amber is one of the most beautiful women in the world and according to the Greek Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi, her face is shaped quite lovely. The score given to her face is an astounding 91.85 on this scale.

Perhaps there is something influential about Amber and how she has used her beauty to get by in life. While the pair were together, Amber said the following after fearing for her life in some instances: 

“During the entirety of our relationship, Johnny Depp has been verbally and physically abusive to me. He has a short fuse. He is often paranoid and his temper is exceptionally scary for me.” 

She said she was living “in fear that Johnny will return to [our house] unannounced to terrorize me, physically and emotionally. Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love.”

The couple would officially end their relationship through the courts in a 2017 divorce. Later, in 2019 Johnny ends up suing Amber for defamation. He states that Amber is not the victim of any kind of domestic abuse but instead that she is the perpetrator. Johnny sought damages up to $50 million dollars during 2019. 

This seemed to piss off Amber and she later would countersue Johnny for $100 million. The trial then starts during April 11th of 2022. And the defamation trial continues in Fairfax County, Virginia. During October of 2022, Amber ended up trying to appeal the jury’s decision. More than 130 people from women’s rights advocacy and domestic violence and sexual assault awareness signed an open letter to support the 36 year old actress.

Amber went on to say, “It is important for me to say I never chose this, I defended my truth and in doing so my life as I knew it was destroyed.”

From the trial settlement it was originally set at $10.35 million, the proceeds are supposed to be given to charity which is now set at $1 million dollars announced on December 19, 2022. The payment will reportedly come from Amber’s insurance company and not her own personal funds.
